May Reading Wrap Up

May Reading Wrap Up

So my May reading didn’t exactly go as I anticipated. It started out on track, but then one ARC I had came out earlier than I thought it would, and I was surprised by another ARC from an author (not that I’m complaining!), and you know, life. Since I try to prioritize all the advance copies I get as much as possible, a few of my just for fun books got pushed back to June. Then a friend of a friend recommended a book so highly that they lent it to me, and I couldn’t very well put that off until the end of my list!

Without further ado, let’s just get into it!

Lies, by TM Logan

Lies pulled me in and wouldn’t let me put it down!dotted line separatorIt's Always the Husband, by Michele Campbell

It’s Always the Husband had an intriguing premise but the execution left me wanting.dotted line separatorBefore I Fall, by Lauren Oliver

Before I Fall was enjoyable but I’d recommend the movie first.dotted line separatorSister, Sister, by Sue Fortin

Sister, Sister was a quick, easy to read thriller.dotted line separatorEnsared, by Rita Stradling

Ensnared, a futuristic Beauty and the Beast retelling, had potential, but I was a bit disappointed.dotted line separatorIlluminae, by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Illuminae was so much fun!dotted line separatorA Leg Up, by Wendy J. Reber

A Leg Up was an enjoyable mostly character driven story.dotted line separator

harry potter

In May, I also finished listening to the entire Harry Potter series on audiobook for the seventh time! I can’t help myself, I love these so much I listen to them practically once a year. I recently got the box set of these in paperback and am considering reviewing the physical reading experience versus listening to the audio. Let me know if this sounds like something you might be interested in!

On the stack for next month:

June 2017 books to read

My June TBR consists of some new ARCs, nonfiction/true crime which is kind of new to me, and those books that I keep putting off due to other obligations but really just want to dive into! *ahem, California Bones and Cress*

What are you reading or planning on reading next?
