March was a fairly middling month of reading for me. I completed eight books this month (not counting one book I didn’t finish) and most of what I read was average with a rating of a three, with one four star read, and ending strong with a five star read. I’m so glad to have ended March on a high note as I was starting to think I was on a streak of not picking the right books for me. That, combined with the weather finally starting to warm up, has me in a good mood with high hopes for what’s next!
Ready to see what I read and reviewed?
Books I reviewed:
The Mother-In-Law was a powerful and entertaining domestic suspense mystery.
I had mixed feelings about My Brilliant Friend; in the end, it just wasn’t the right book for me.
The Painted Veil was a morality tale that I enjoyed more than I expected to.
Lord of the Flies was an intriguing and disturbing book, but reading this once was enough for me to last a lifetime.
Books I read but haven’t reviewed:
Some portions of Hidden Figures were a little dense, but I really enjoyed the human aspect.
Evermore didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
The Dreamers had an interesting premise but I just couldn’t connect with the story.I loved everything about The Printed Letter Bookshop!

On the stack for next month:
I’m hoping for a far better month of reading in April than I had in March! I have some review copies I’m excited to be picking up, along with a couple books from my shelf and some library books to round it out. I’m looking forward to reading all of these for different reasons and I’m hoping they all meet (or surpass!) my expectations. We’ll see how this goes… wish me luck!
What are you reading or planning on reading next?
